
We are pleased to announce that registration for the upcoming AWRANA Conference in Pisa is now open.
AWRANA26, the 4th edition of the Association of Use-Wear and Residue Analysts Conference, will be held from 9 to 12 April 2026. This year’s theme, “Breaking Patterns in Archaeology,” highlights the pivotal role that macro- and microscopic approaches to wear and residue analysis play in reshaping archaeological interpretations.

The conference welcomes contributions spanning a broad chronological spectrum, from early prehistory to contemporary times, without temporal limitations. We encourage submissions from all disciplines that engage with the study of wear marks and residues on archaeological artifacts, as well as on human and faunal remains.
