NeoNet

NeoNet Dataset. Radiocarbon Dates for the Late Mesolithic/Early Neolithic Transition in Mediterranean and Southern Atlantic Europe

The NeoNet project, originating from a thematic research network (ref. RED2018-102382-Tand PID2020-112513RB-I00) funded by the “Plan Estatal de Investigación Científica y Técnica y de Innovación 2017–2020: Acciones de dinamización ‘Redes de Investigación'” of the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities, involves the creation of an open-access database that compiles radiocarbon dating for the Mesolithic-Neolithic transition in Southern Europe. This collaborative project has brought together specialists from various regions of the Mediterranean and Atlantic Europe to conduct a review of available radiocarbon dating for the two periods and publish an updated and revised database of the available information.

NeoNet has given rise to a web platform for consulting and analyzing the collected datings. It is an interactive R Shiny application available at the following address: http://shinyserver.cfs.unipi.it:3838/C14/
