PreIStoriA partecipates to the European Archaeology Days 2024 with “Catignano and its Neolithic Culture”

In synergy with other prestigious institutions, the Department of Civilizations and Forms of Knowledge has collaborated in organizing three days dedicated to archaeology, scheduled for June 14-15 and 16 in Catignano and Loreto Aprutino (Pescara – PE). These events are intended for the general public and the inhabitants of the Abruzzo towns that have hosted and witnessed the work of archaeologists from the University of Pisa for decades at the important Neolithic site of Catignano, to communicate the results obtained and share the research with all interested parties.

The event, named “An Important Page of European Prehistory: Catignano and its Neolithic Culture” coincides with the European Archaeology Days 2024, which annually see the organization of events to publicize research and explain the work of archaeologists in all EU countries.

For the University of Pisa, the participants in the events and conferences will be Giovanna Radi, Elisabetta Starnini, Cristiana Petrinelli, Carlo Tozzi, and Marco Serradimigni.
