Preliminary works has begun for the opening of Monte Frignione II excavation. The site has been excavated in the early 2000s from Prof. C. Tozzi and his team, revealing a set of occupations spanning from Epigravettian, Late Mesolithic and Early Neolithic. Thanks to geophysical survey works, new areas with potential anthropic structures have been identified. New excavations will help to shed light on this important site, in order to obtain new data on the Mesolithic-Neolithic transition.
